“I am obsessed with professional wrestling.“

What kind of actor do you aspire to be?
I aspire to be what I referred to as a ‘chameleon actor’ I hope to understand myself well enough to not have part of my own personality seeping into the characters I play.
What performance piece did you choose for the showcase and why?
I chose a monologue from the movie ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ because I wanted to challenge myself to apply Harold Pinter‘s pause techniques to a body of work and this monologue was the perfect piece to try it on. I’ve also been working on camera work intensity as it is very different from stage intensity, so I chose a piece that would allow me to play with that delicate balance between fierce and loud.

What book, theatre, film or TV production has most inspired you?
The most inspirational book I’ve ever read is titled ‘Half the Sky’ by Sheryl WuDunn. The book is about the way that women in the developing world live and the liberties and opportunities the have to fight for on a daily basis in the quest for autonomy in life and health.
How have you been keeping creative during lockdown?
I have been learning to play the piano and sporadically learning to play the violin.
